Annie Wersching is an American actress who gained fame for her stint as FBI agent Renee Walker in seasons 7 and 8 of the hit action series "24." Prior to joining the popular television series which starred Kiefer Sutherland, she made a one-episode guest appearance on the sci-fi epic "Star Trek: Enterprise." This was followed by another guest role on the show "Birds of Prey."
Annie Wersching spent the next few years in her acting career by making appearances on a wide range of television shows ranging from drama to fantasy and comedy. In 2003 she appeared in an episode of the shows "Frasier" and "Angel." The following year, she had a bit role in the comedy flick "Bruce Almighty" which starred Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston.
In 2004, Annie Wersching enriched her acting credits by appearing on more television projects. She made a one-off episode guest role in "Charmed," and this was followed by guest roles in "Out of Practice," "Killer Instinct," and "E-ring."
In 2006, Annie Wersching had a supporting role in the baseball drama "The Showdown," and this was followed by guest roles this time in shows "Cold Case" and "Boston Legal."
In 2007, Annie Wersching played the recurring character of Amelia Joffe on the longtime medical soap opera "General Hospital." During this time she became active in various theater work including theaters such as Victory Gardens, the Utah Shakespearean Festival, and Marriott Lincolnshire. She also made time to appear in the series "Supernatural" and "Journeyman."
In 2009, Annie Wersching was cast in the hit action thriller series "24," for its seventh and eight seasons. She played the role of FBI Agent Renee Walker. Around the same time she has also finished filming the feature films "Company Man" and "Below the Beltway."
Aside from acting, Annie Wersching is also active in sports, particularly softball. In 2009 she played the catcher for her team in the Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game.
Prior to acting, Annie Wersching competed in dance competitions during her high school years. She is an expert in Irish dance and was a member of the St. Louis Celtic Stepdancers.
